Dr. Jagannathan Sankar
As a Distinguished University Professor of Mechanical and Chemical Engineering at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, Professor Sankar's research focus is on novel composites and nanoengineered materials. Dr. Nancy Monteiro-Riviere
As a Professor of Toxicology at North Carolina State University, Center for Chemical Toxicology Research and Pharmacokinetics, Dr. Monteiro-Riviere is a world-renowned expert on the toxicity of nanomaterials. She joined the NCSU faculty in 1984, and is also a Professor in the NCSU/UNC-CH Biomedical Engineering Faculty and Research Adjunct Professor in the Department of Dermatology, School of Medicine at UNC-CH. Dr. Edward Ahn
Dr. Ahn was founder, Chief Technology Officer, and finally Chief Executive Officer of Angstrom Medica, Inc., which is a developer of nanostructured synthetic, bone-based orthopedic devices based on technology he developed while earning his Ph.D. at MIT. As CEO at Angstrom he oversaw sale of the company in 2007 to Pioneer Surgical Technology, Inc., where he is now Vice President for product development and manages biologics product development and marketing and commercialization activities. He has published extensively in scientific journals and presented widely at scientific and professional meetings.
Dr. David Carroll
Dr. Carroll is the Director of the Center for Nanotechnology and Molecular Materials at Wake Forest University. He also hold appointments as an Associate Professor of Physics, Adjunct Professor of Biomedical Engineering, and Adjunct Professor of Cancer Biology. Dr. Carroll is an expert in nanofabrication and nanocharacterization, with diverse research interests. See more
Dr. William Zamboni
Dr. William Zamboni is an Associate Professor in the UNC Chapel Hill School of Pharmacy and the Director of UNC's GLP Analytical Facility, Center for Experimental Therapeutics. He is an expert in translational studies of anticancer agents. Dr. Zamboni completed his PhD in the Clinical Pharmaceutical Scientist Program in 2005 and his PharmD in 1994 from the University of Pittsburgh. See more
Dr. Michele Ostraat
Dr. Michele Ostraat is the Director of Engineering Research for the Center for Aerosol Technology at RTI International. She is leading RTI's nanomaterials registry that will develop new models, assays, standards, and manufacturing methods through improved data validation and data quality improvement of nanomaterials. Dr. Ostraat has more than 10 years experience in the aerosol and nanoparticle synthesis field, creating, managing and leading innovative programs designed to establish new products. See more
